EFM Product Description
Electrochemical Frequency Modulation (EFM) is a useful technique for electrochemical corrosion testing. Our EFM software allows rapid measurement of corrosion rate without a priori knowledge of Tafel constants. Like Polarization Resistance or EIS, it is a non-destructive technique.
The EFM software runs under the Gamry Framework™, which in turn runs under the Microsoft® Windows® 7, 8, and 10 operating systems.
The EFM software allows you to explore EFM at the click of a button. Both a single-run EFM measurement and a long-term EFM Trend experiment are available in single-potentiostat or multiplexed-potentiostat variations. But when a standard test isn’t enough, you can create new tests using our Explain™ script language. Data manipulation and display are done using the Gamry Echem Analyst™.
You can use the EFM software with any one of Gamry Instruments’ potentiostats/galvanostats/ZRAs.
Further information may be available at the Gamry web site, www.gamry.com.
You can find a more detailed description of the theory of EFM in the following literature references:
