Tutorial Five Introduction
EIS Framework™ experiments generate two types of disk files. Both files are ASCII text files that can be edited and printed using ordinary tools such as Notepad. You should also find it easy to transport the EIS files into other programs such as databases, word processors, and spreadsheets.
The basic type of file is a data file, with a .DTA file name extension. A data file normally contains:
- The experimental parameters for the experiment
- Any notes entered as part of running the experiment
- The data curve
All output to the data file occurs via Explain™ commands in the experimental script. You can alter the format of a data file by making changes in the script that generates the file.
This tutorial examines the Framework Output files.
