Finish the Notes

The Notes… dialog box disappears.
When you have the parameter set that you want, you often save it to the disk. You may want to save a parameter set even if you think it will only be reused a few times. It is easier to restart an experiment by restoring parameters than by reentering them.
Parameter sets are stored in a file with a .SET file name extension. More than one parameter set can be stored in each file, with the set distinguished by a Set Name. This system is a powerful tool for organizing your experimental setups. For example, each worker in a lab can have his own setup file (JOE.SET, KAREN.SET, etc.). Within her file, Karen can save multiple parameter sets under descriptive Set Names (“Quick EIS “, “Inhibitor Test”, etc.).
The notes that you enter in the Notes… dialog box are not a parameter in the normal sense. They are not saved/recalled with the parameter set. They are written into the data file as part of the permanent record of your experiment.
The Default button on the dialog box restores the parameters on the screen to their default values. You can use it to fix typing errors or find out previous values for a parameter you have already retyped. The Save… and Restore… buttons always change the default values to the set being saved or recalled.
