Linear Sweep Voltammetry Purpose
Linear Sweep Voltammetry is a simpler subset of Cyclic Voltammetry, consisting of a single unidirectional voltage sweep. In general, researchers use Linear Sweep Voltammetry instead of Cyclic Voltammetry when there is no useful information on the return scan of the Cyclic Voltammogram, such as when the electron transfer is followed by a very fast irreversible reaction.
We encourage you to review the literature cited in the Cyclic Voltammetry section of the Physical Electrochemistry help for references on linear-sweep potential methods.
