This software package is useful for testing solar cells such as dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) or perovskite cells. In addition, all techniques can be used for any experiments which involve controlling a light source in order to study electrochemical reactions.
Intensity‑modulated photocurrent spectroscopy (IMPS) and intensity‑modulated photovoltage spectroscopy (IMVS) offer valuable information about dye solar cells (DSCs). IMPS and IMVS yield time constants which are related to electron transport and electron recombination. Both parameters can be used to calculate the diffusion coefficient and the diffusion length, among others.
You can use this software with any of Gamry Instruments' potentiostats/galvanostats/ZRAs. In order to run the experiments, two potentiostats of the same instrument family (Reference or Interface) need to be interconnected to a bi-potentiostat configuration. The first potentiostat (master) controls the light source; the second one (serf) controls the cell and is used for measuring.
