Potentiostatic

Description

The potentiostatic technique examines the behavior of a system when held under a constant potential control.

The graphical output of the experiment is a plot of current vs. time. Analysis of the curve often can yield the following types of information:

Passivation under a set potential.

Pitting under a constant potential.
