The Electrochemical Energy Self-Discharge script records changes in cell voltage as a battery's internal chemical reactions reduce stored capacity without connections to the electrodes.
This script may be useful for determination of:
•The self-discharge rate of a battery
•Shelf-life, and whether previous discharge cycles influence self-discharge rate
•When used with heating or cooling systems, effects of temperature on self-discharge rate.
This is a half-cell, full-cell, stack, or dual-electrometer experiment. Dual-electrometer mode is only available with the Interface 5000.
