ASTM Critical Pitting Temperature

Description

The ASTM Critical Pitting Temperature experiment is used to evaluate the corrosion tendency of a metal sample as a function of temperature. During the experiment, the specimen is held at a constant potential using a potentiostat. The cell current I is recorded as the software uses the temperature controller to slowly sweep the cell temperature. The resulting plot is temperature versus log(I).
