Quick-access toolbar

Description

The Quick-access toolbar is located below the main menu bar and gains access to the frequently used commands through graphical buttons.

Launch a new Editor window to create experimental scripts. This command is always accessible and allows you to open multiple Editor windows simultaneously. While there is no theoretical limit to the number of windows you can open, the practical limit depends on your system's memory capacity.

Launch the Editor and open an existing file for editing. This command is always available. Select a file using the Open File dialog box and click Open to confirm your selection.

Save the current content of a Framework Editor window to your computer.

 

This command is only available when the Editor active. If the Editor window has an associated file name, the saved changes will overwrite that file. Otherwise, the Save command will function like the Save As... command, prompting you to select a file name.

Save the contents of ALL open Framework Editor windows to your computer.

Print the contents of the currently open Editor window.

Cut out a selected section in an Editor window and temporarily save it to the clipboard. The removed text can be copied elsewhere in the Editor. Use "Ctrl+X" as shortcut.

Copy a selected section in an Editor window and temporarily save it to the clipboard. The copied text can be pasted elsewhere in the Editor. Use "Ctrl+C" as shortcut.

Paste the text that is saved in the clipboard in an Editor file. The copied text must be in ASCII format. Use "Ctrl+P" as shortcut.

Undo the last action in the Editor. Use "Alt+Bksp" as shortcut.

Search for specific text in the open Editor file. A dialog box opens. Enter the text that you want to locate in the Find field. Matching text in the file is highlighted at the end of the search. Use "Ctrl+F" as shortcut.

Repeat the text search in the open Editor file. The text searched for is the same as that entered into the last Edit > Find... dialog box. The search starts at the current cursor position and proceeds toward the beginning of the file. Use "F4" as shortcut.

Check the open Editor file for any compiler or runtime error. No experiment is started when using this command.

Run the currently open Editor script file. If the file is not saved yet, you are prompted to save it first.

Access all available Explain™ scripts. A dialog opens. Choose a standard or any non-standard, custom script file to run. Press Open to confirm your selection and run the experiment. You can change the default file path under Options > Path....

Launch the Echem Analyst™ or Echem Analyst 2™.

 

Define the default program under Options > Select Echem Analyst. No data file is opened when using this command.

Launch the Gamry Sequence Wizard in a new window.

Arrange all currently displayed Editor and Runner windows slightly offset from one another, with at least the title bar visible.

Arrange all currently displayed Editor and Runner windows vertically. They will fill the available space without overlapping.

Resize and minimize ALL Editor and Runner windows to the bottom of the Framework window.
