Gamry Instrument Manager (GIM)

Description

The Gamry Instrument Manager (GIM) is a program located within Framework™ that consolidates hardware-specific tools into one place. GIM appears automatically when a new instrument is connected to the computer.

Use the Gamry Instrument Manager to:

•Find the device information and manage your potentiostats.

•Rename potentiostats.

•Upgrade the potentiostat model.

•Update firmware of potentiostats.

•Calibrate your instrument.

You can access the GIM anytime from the menu bar under Options > Instrument Manager.... GIM always runs in a separate window.

1	Menu bar	Access all GIM commands and view the GAMRY.INI file.
2	Quick-access toolbar	Access to the most frequently used tools.
3	Device List	View and manage your devices.
4	Instrument identification	Identify a specific instrument from among your active devices by forcing its Power LED to blink.
5	Name customization	Customize the display name of your potentiostat.
6	Device Info	Find all relevant hardware and firmware information of the selected instrument such as instrument label, tier, status, firmware version etc.
7	Change Tier	Change the tier of your potentiostat.
8	Firmware Update	Check the status and update the instrument's firmware.
9	Calibration Info	Most recent results of the AC and DC calibration including their dates. Run an instrument calibration.
